Golf Breaks Bath
What is the best long term treatment for a sprained ankle. Sprained ankle 3 months ago, still not at 100%?
I broke my leg and sprained my ankle this past Dec 4th. Doctor told me not to be surprised it takes 6 to 8 months tfor the ankle to heal. What treatment and rehab would be best. Warm soaking with epson salt daily? Stretching and walking with cold compresses? Staying off ankle as much as possible? Exercising and appling sports cream rub? Warm baths? Ankle will swell during the day. I need some good advice, golf season is approaching rather quickly. I was powerwalking and light jogging prior to my accident. I really need to get back to exercising as soon as possible.

You can try physical therapy.
Some of the exercises I did in physical therapy for my sprained ankle were….. Calf raises, rubber band exercises where you put the band around your foot, then move your foot in each direction, holding your foot across your lap, and ‘writing’ each letter of the alphabet.
My ankles did pretty well with these exercises. I still have problems to this day though, as I have torn ligaments. Good luck!
